Saima Thompson is the founder of Brockley restaurant, Masala Wala Cafe. In April 2018 she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 29, and over the last 2 years she has had various palliative treatments from multiple rounds of chemotherapy, targeted therapy drugs and immunotherapy. She is also the author of her blog, Curry & Cancer and co-hosts the podcast Fresh to Death.
At present, Saima is running out of treatment options on the NHS, her health is deteriorating and her cancer has spread to her brain and increased in her liver. There is a new drug that could help, but is financially out of reach for Saima, which is why she is fundraising so she can seek treatment outside of the NHS. Click here to find out how you can help.
