Mis En Place Your Life

Getting yourself ready for a busy service, event or client is not only important, it’s necessary. So why is it we don’t always put as much thought and care into our day to day lives. Caring about how we get to where we want to go, is the first step in helping us get there. Identifying challenges, bad habits, cultivating a postive mantra, taking care of our physical and mental health - are all things that contribute to getting what you want!

But where do you start? Which is why L.O.R. brought in intuitive business and life coach, Pandora Paloma, to help us start mapping out our next year, or decade even.

Here is the worksheet Pandora sent around to those who attended, as a follow up to the session. There is so much in there, we’re just about to sit down and do it ourselves!

Below you will find a recap of our notes from the evening. Mostly soundbites from Pandora’s excellent advice and words of wisdom.

A huge thank you to Mama Shelter in London for hosting us, and East London Liquor Company for the cheeky gin cocktail to get us going.

Let’s get prepping ladies!

  • Confidence is something we cultivate

  • Faith + Action = Miracles. So take action but don’t force too much.

  • Goals vs Intentions: A goal is an external achievement, which we can sometimes attach too much to. Whereas an intention, helps us to cultivate a clear idea of what we actually want. It helps us to focus on how we get there - how we intend on reaching the end goal.

  • Set a purpose

  • Establish what your WHY is

  • Call yourself out on your bullshit eg. “You just picked up your phone again to check Instagram. Why, how is that serving you in this moment”

  • Don’t make yourself feel invalid. Everyone is a cover band, just because someone else runs a restaurant, doesn’t mean you can’t too. Just becasue someone else wrote a cookbook about Spain, doesn’t mean you can’t too. We are all attracted to certain people’s messages. We connect with certain messengers.

  • Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by others success OR failures. Celebrating others set backs is not helpful to your mind. Sulking in other peoples success is also extremely debilitating.

  • Ask yourself these questions, write them down in a place you can return to.

    • What life do I want?

    • How do I want to wake up in the morning?

    • What impact do I want to have?

  • Establish your values

  • Start acting the way you want to become

  • Kick your inner critic in the ass - just beacuse you didn’t do something right in the past, doesn’t mean you will never do it right. Figure out what the story is that you are telling yourself when you are confronted with something that conjures up fear. How can you shift that?

  • Take the expectation away

  • If you knew you wouldn’t fail, what would your vision be?

  • Know when to ask for help.
