Wednesday 17th June, journalist and food writer Melissa Thompson aka @fowlmouthsfood will be hosting a talk with three black women working in the hospitality industry. Melissa has been highly applauded for her honest and educational social media content on the matter.
Yes this talk comes on the heels of the recent rise in the ongoing conversation; Black Lives Matter, but social and systemic racism exists within our industry, and we need to understand why and how to combat it.
Melissa will be joined by 2018's Front of House, Young British Foodie award winner Laudy Gibba-Smith dialling in from Hong Kong, London based chef of Zoe Adjonyah of Zoe's Ghana Kitchen and Liverpool cafe owner, Kim Sowah of Coffee & Fandisha.
