The List / FEBRUARY
Say hello to your monthly list of what we’re listening to, reading, doing and loving. A cultural spattering of things both food and non-food related, to fill the time when were not grafting on the floor, in the kitchen or on the land.
1. The School of Life by Alain de Botton – a must read for some real emotional education and personal development.
2. Amanda Gorman’s poem ‘The Hill We Climb’ – utterly moved by this and eager to get our eyes on some more! Check it out.
3. Christina Tosi’s Bake Club - Monday’s at 2pm EST / 7pm GMT. It’s the positive pick me up we need in lockdown.
4. Grounded by Louis Theroux with Leah Remini / The actress is known for her role on King of Queens, but most recently for renouncing her connection to the church of Scientology. We were hooked on her insight into this very secret world. She speaks candidly, openly and honestly.
5. People Like Her by Ellery Lloyd / A novel all about the highs and lows of being an Instamum. Oh so relevant and a real page turner.
6. @noorishbynoor is making us salivate over her recipes, most recently the cheese and mint stuffed ka’ak with caraway and urfa chilli oil to dip! oof.
7. Dishoom’s Breakfast Naan at home kit, complete with chai mix. While we can’t be in a restaurant, this kit sure does transport us to those dreamy Bombay cafés.
8. Walking around your home city/town/village and looking for new places, sites, smells and landmarks - inspired by @richardleemasseys gorgeous walks through London Town.
9. McDonalds Katsu Chicken Nuggets – crunchy, tasty, delicious . Don’t knock em till you try them.
10. Next on our watchlist…The Dig, White Tiger and more RuPaul’s Drag Race.
